Becimo started in 2021 as a two-person operation working out of a rented yard near Birmingham. The original idea was straightforward: offer a pruning service that was scheduled properly, priced clearly, and left gardens tidier than a lot of the ad-hoc work being done around the city at the time. Five years on, the business has grown into a team of 15, covering two districts around Birmingham and holding a steady stream of repeat clients.
In that time, the company has completed 1,625 jobs for 825 clients, and 265 of those clients have called back for a second or third visit once their trees or hedges needed attention again. That return rate says more about the work than any slogan could. We do not chase one-off jobs; we build a maintenance rhythm that suits each garden.
How the Business Runs
Every job follows the same sequence: a site visit to assess the species and condition of the tree or shrub, a written quote, then the work itself carried out with hand tools and powered equipment appropriate to the size of the job. We clear all arisings unless the client wants the wood kept for logs. Requests sent through the contact form or by phone typically get a reply within 4 hours during business days.

The team includes arborists and groundworkers who split their week between scheduled maintenance rounds and new enquiries, which keeps both response times and workmanship consistent.

Our aim is simple: keep trees and shrubs in Birmingham gardens healthy and well-shaped without over-cutting them. Pruning done badly can set a tree back for years or encourage weak regrowth; pruning done at the right time, in the right amount, keeps a garden looking intentional rather than overgrown.
